Children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds such as being abandoned after divorce and left to the care of grandparents or relatives, poor due to bankruptcy and so on, may tend to miss meals. This breakfast programme ensures that these children have at least one proper meal a day. The project which started in February 2015 , initially had 15 kids on our list. Then a further 14 children were added on to the list. The success of this breakfast programme in its very first month had given us the encouragement to reach out to more needy children. For the month of March 2015, a total of 36 children have be identified and placed into this programme. If you are interested in helping us provide breakfast for these needy kids or even keen in starting a breakfast programme at a school in a disadvantaged neighbourhood , please call our JEWEL members Thanam at 016 -716 0405 or May Chang at 016 – 796 0682 for advice and assistance.
